Liquidus’ latest version of our popular Video link product has a unique platform detection and video optimization capability. This means if you are viewing a video on a device that either does or does not support flash, HTML5, audio tags, video codecs et cetera our platform detection will serve the precise video needed for your player. It can also determine if you are watching a liquidus videolink on an Android platform and which iOS you are running as well as what browser you may be using. By detecting this in real time, our video then intelligently displays the videolink version best suited for your device, screen size and connection speed. And, it can leverage cookies in the same way as a traditional web page to deliver a customized video on-the-fly based on preferences you’ve expressed in previous Videolink sessions.

For example, if a Flash-enabled PC with a large screen and a broadband connection is calling the video our technology will identify these aspects and return a widescreen Flash video with lots of images and additional menu items that display around the video complete with audio track. In contrast if the same video is being called by a non-Flash enabled iPhone 4s with a 3G connection, a narrow HTML5 rectangular ad unit with only 5 image assets and limited text and audio segments will be called. That way you don’t have to wait forever for the video to load (as you would with a not-very-smart hard-file video…like an mp4)

The videolink will also know if you’ve viewed the product before and respond to your preferences and behavior expressed in a previous session. It can withhold the pre-roll on a smart phone if you’ve already seen it in previous videos so that you can skip ahead and view the new information straight-away.

By having this smart technology the customer receives a richer, more efficient, and a better targeted experience. Smarter video, smarter customers.
